Doing my first transmission rebuild. I've pulled it apart ordered new front and rear bearing, syncro blocker rings, countershaft and small parts (needle bearings, etc...) I've used the T90 rebuild guide found on the willystech.com site. There is an oil collector that is referred to in the guide but I do not have this on transmission. Should mine have it or is this something that isn't on all T90 transmissions?
Picture of oil collector from guide attached...

From the T90 rebuild page you referred to.....

Seems like it certainly wouldn't hurt to put one in while you have it apart. Just be sure to put it in before the mainshaft! AMHIK.

There's a popular 4x4 place at 36th St and Washington, and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. You can also give Statewide 4x4 (19th and Dunlap) or WillysWorks (Tucson) a try.

While you are at it you might want to put second gear in it. They are known for failure. The bushing wears out.

The factory quit putting them in. FSM has a notation in the parts blowup about it.

when I rebuilt my t90 with t90c gears I had a problem with interference between the new cluster gear and the old oil collector...so I just trimmed the oil collector a bunch until there were no problems...I basically don't have much of an oil collector left, and I've been running my trans like that like a while with no problems at all. Also, my friend with with a 2A has a later model t90 in it that didn't have an oil collector. In my opinion, if you keep your oil levels right then it's not necessary...like Glenn said, they stopped putting them in anyway.

I just rebuilt my t90,I installed the truck gear set, with the short input shaft, I love the lower first and second gear. I left the oil slinger out of mine and put some lucus oil treatment in it. no problems so far.
