    navy67 It's a Jeep thing!

OK again I was fiddling with my 225 when I noticed that the vacuum advance hose was off. From the distributor where does it go?

    :flag: :v6: :?

Should be only one port that's open on it and the correct size.

    Mine's on the right front.

On the rochester 2g the vac advance hose goes to the port on the pass side of the carb just below the fuel inlet. This vaccum will not change advance at idle because the circuit for that port is designed for throttle response advance. If you hook the vaccum advance to a port that has vaccum all the time it will advance the distributor timing all the time instead of when needed.
