I'm looking for a new fitting to attach the vent hose to the filler hose. Its a weird threaded fitting with a nut on the inside of the filler hose. Does anyone know what these are called or where to get one?

You might try someplace like J&W in California. IIRC that part is NLA from any source. You'll have to take one off a wreck, or make it.

Goo luck finding one of these little buggers. I looked for about a month and never found one. No longer available new and most used ones are rusted bad. I took a peice of tail pipe that fit inside my fill hose and welded a fitting in it. I then cut my fuel hose right through the middle of the vent hole and slipped the peice of tail pipe inside. Put two good quality hose clamps on it and headed for the gas station. It works great. Very simple to make, I could have made 1000 of them in the time I spent trying to find a stock replacement. Good luck.

I bought a pipe bushing, a fender style washer, and a hose clamp and made a pretty decent replica of the original. The washer sits against the bushing hex and is inside the filler pipe. The bushing nipple fits inside the vent hose and is secured with a hose clamp. I hedged my bets and used a gasoline compatible sealent when I assembled the thing. God help me if I ever have to take it apart.

    Thumbs up dana....

    plus the gas resistant sealant...

This seems to be a modified bulkhead fitting...

understand the molded hose is not available but the molded filler hose is...

When I took the vent hose into my auto part store to see if the guy had ever seen a fitting like that (which he hadn't ) he did come up with a hose that is nearly identical to the molded vent hose (one part is a little longish but a hacksaw can take care of that). This new one is not in any way identified with Jeeps, but i was very pleased to not be reusing the ratty 33 yr old one. When I get home I can get a model number off it if you are looking for one.

You might be able to replace the molded vent hose with a hard line and 2 short lengths of straight hose. Copper fittings, soldered, or bendable copper would work ... even EMT if it's the right size.
