Ok, here goes. Would somebody be kind enough to show me a picture of their dist. with the points and condenser intact please. When I got my 68 CJ5 it was missing the condenser and I'm not sure exactly how it's hooked up. My (junk) Haynes manuel  is pretty vague to say the least. Thank you in advance.

I believe the condenser wire should attach to the small wire coming from the coil and the condenser itself should just clamp down somewhere out of the way.

When I had a condensor it was mounted on the block. Don't need one with the Pertronix.

The condenser I got from the local parts store doesn't have a "wire" it's a copper band folded onto itself. I'm wondering if maybe the condenser itself is incorrect for my application. :?

The strap is connected to the points. There should be a small space for the condenser to be mounted.

Normally there is a clamp that goes around the condenser and it is screwed to the base in the dist. So, if you are not sure where the condenser goes, look for the screw hole.

If the points are in the 2 o'clock position, the condenser should be in the 10 o'clock position.

The strap coming from the condenser should not touch ground. If it does, the jeep will not start.

The strap is just long enough to reach the place on the points where it should be connected.

    good luck
