Superwinch EPi9.0?

Just wondering if anyone is running one of these. I have heard good things about this model and the specs seem pretty good for the price.

Well I had to drive to denver to get it but I have one sitting in the garage right now

The price was too good to pass up and I must say it looks like a nice solid winch. Even comes with a 10000 lb snatch block. If anyone wants one go here for the deal price of $549.99 while he still has some left.

Seemed like a nice guy starting up a 4x4 business in south Denver.

Now I just need to figure out how to mount it around the saginaw.

the saginaw box blocks off all access to the top and inside driver side frame rail.
i wish it were as easy as using a standard mount!

Isn't it McRuff that has blocks built up on his frame for a winch mount?

I found a good price on the tomken mount and think I am going to get one.

My tomken mount came today... looks like it will fit nicely.

Install was pretty easy on the pass side, but the driver side is a pain with the saginaw box/mount in the way.

Now I'm battery shopping. The old battery is pretty old... and has lost its charge many times during the winter so its probably about shot.

I think I am going with the Exide Orbital deep cycle marine.

So I got the battery and ordered a new tray on ebay since it was cheaper. I was worried becuase the seller never confirmed shipping and it took a week to get here from New Mexico. Turns out I was shipped the stainless version when I ordered black so I guess that worked out pretty well The stainless version sells for $45-55 at the usual places while the black sells for $35-45.

Installation isn't bad. I had to drill and tap a new hole on the left (pass) mount. It was close enough that it still went through the tab used for the original hole. Also only one bolt lined up at the rear of the tray but I think it is plenty strong as it is. My only question is will the battery clamp be strong enough for off road or should I try to get a clamp accross the top of the battery? Also, what is the tab on the side of the left mount for? I wonder what I can put there...

Is that battery a knockoff of the Optima? What did it cost you?

 

read up a couple posts for specs

you can get them online for pretty cheap ~ 135-150
I wanted a local seller for warrenty reasons so it was $180. I am checking to see if they will price match though. Checker/Advance is who carries them along with NAPA.
