cloth electrical insulation

Anyone know where I can find cloth elect. insulation? I'll be installing a new harness soon and would rather have original looking cloth instead of regular flex/conduit. thanks.

 

Unless you're doing a full blown resto, I'd opt for the EZwire kits with a real fuse box. The cloth harnesses are duplicates of the originals with little or no fusing and no extra circuits AFAIK. You may find cloth covering available to cover your replacement harness from Vintage wiring of Maine. They build repro harnesses for the flatties for the show/resto crowd ( not cheap though!). HTH

 

I'm using a generic harness like you're talking about but want to cover it with cloth to make it look authentic.

3M makes a cloth electrical tape. Its color is white. The exact name is 3M, 27 glass cloth electrical tape. You can get it online, or try a electrical whole sale house.

 

Just checked this place out, those are some impressive harnesses! Even I am not that anal about it, but my harness from Walck's is pretty close to that quality. Same kind of wires and covering anyway.
