    neptco19 That guy....

W/o resistance it dosnt take much to turn the wheels. I know even with an open diff, sometimes if you turn the dshaft while its on a lift both tires will turn like one with a locker.

Did you install the axles ? do they fit the side gears correctly ? Are you saying that when you put the jeep in gear the rear driveline turns but it doesn't move ??

Come on. throw us a bone.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

sounds like one or both of the axle buttons fell out of the locker
    pull the hubs off
    pull the axles
    look down into both tubes
see if the buttons have dropped out and laying in the bottom of the tube
if so, finish nail into end of long wood dowel, gob of wheel bearing grease to hold the button on the nail, gob of grease on the outside of the button, stick them back into the locker

Sounds like the axles are not engaging the splines? Are the correct length axles in the right side of the housing? Are the hubs assembles correctly?

Ok. If you have locking hubs on this axle, then I think the problem is one of the hubs is not engaging. It does not matter how much wear is in the limited slip unit. If one axle is not engaged, your jeep goes nowhere.

Holy cow...Ok. Take the hubs off and check to see if the axles are turning. I'll bet they are. Next the hubs. Early spring loaded Warns must be reassembled properly to work. If the cover uses guide pins on the springs, you will need to align them up with the holes in the bottom of the casing. Pull the outer hub casing off and find the holes. Mark the side of the casing there. Replace the outer hub. Replace the locking face and slide the pins in the grooves next to the marks. Lock the hubs in and rotate a tire.

Take the six allen bolts out and pull the cap out of the body. Look at the way the hub engages. if the engagement gear runs on four springs, and those springs are centered with pins, then you have an early style spring loaded hub. If you have these hubs, the pins MUST go in the slots aligned with the holes in the bottom of the body in order to engage. Take a small screwdriver and run it around the grease in the bottom of the body till you find the holes. Replace the lid so that the pins will go into the holes when you engage the hub. Check both sides. lock in the hubs and turn a tire. I'll bet that fixes the problem.

did you swap the WHOLE axle, or just the full float parts?

Am going to go out on a limb and guess that your pinion gear is too tight.

Ok, lets do this right. It can't be the R+P or the diff. Drop the cover and check to make sure that the axles are all the way in the axle(side)gears(some powr lok's run a two piece side gear, you didn't specify which LS so this is a possability). Lock the hubs. spin each tire. Which tire turns the driveline? The one that doesn't is the problem. If they both do, put the trans in gear and try again. I'm convinces that it is a hub problem. Thought we had it with the early style Warns, however, the single spring design won't foul the body like the earlier pin style.
