Full floater dont work

well I put in the full floater and the LS, on the jackstands the tires turned on the ground it just hums... any ideas would be great

 

Bad R&P setup? Driveflanges or hubs?

R&P= Ring and Pinion Your rear end gears

 

OK yes the hubs were locked in and they are good, the backlash was 8,000th, put in new clutches. When it was on the jackstands the tires moved but when on the ground it just makes a humming sound, no grinding just a humming.

 

Well if the R&P was bad it would be making a ton of noise.

 

Ring and pinion were good it worked just fine in my buddys Jeep 8 months ago when he drove last.

 

Are the hubs new??

Is the driveshaft spinning?

 

Yes the drive shaft is spinning

 

If the dshaft is spinning, either the something is wrong with the clutches in the LS or the hubs. But you said they are both new or known to be good. :?

 

Maybe pull the hubs on both sides and see if the axles are turning when in gear. Was gonna suggest to check yout transfer case to see if it was in gear but you said the drive shaft turns right?

 

yes they are good hubs and the clutches are new so it looks like I am gonna take me Blazer to the Rubicon
