Flywheel Trouble

    Im having trouble getting my flywheel to come off so i can have it turned, i undid all 6 nut on it but it still seems to be stuck on the shaft or something, i cant get it to budge in any direction, is there something i did wrong or do i need a special tool?
    61 cj5 dana18 and t-90 f-head 134 4cyl

    deadfall (shotbag) hammer. lightly tap around the center and edges...

    having trouble getting my flywheel off of 61 cj5 f-head 134 any ideas on what i need to do??

    :iagree: Two of the bolts should be a tapered shoullder style bolt. Not uncommon to have some corrosion in this area and the crankshaft flange. Just watch your toes when it pops loose!

    All bolts removed?

    Little PB Blast wait 10 minutes.
    Try again.

    If it still does not give.

    Wipe off any extra Pb Blast

    Then a little heat, but not too much.

    yes bolts are removed, what is pb blast? i mean this thing has no play like the bolts havent even been removed yet, should i just beat on it with a hammer or what?

    if you hit it with a hammer use a dead blow hammer. I agree with the hit it around the edges on the surfaced side, should break it loose. PB blaster is a penitrating oil, works very well.
