Here are the pics of some of the changes to my 65 CJ6A. The seats are Bestop. (As mentioned elsewhere in this site, they are not a direst bolt up to the original seat brackets. I find them to be reasonably comfortable but have just driven around town.) On the maiden voyage to the ice cream store after installing the seats, the oil intake line developed a serious leak :( . (Also as mentioned elsewhere in this site a replacement was ordered from Krage and I needed an adaptor from NAPA for the connection to the oil filter end of the hose-take the fuel pump off first.) The floor had a brushed on bed liner in black that, on a suggestion from my brother, I painted white with a rattle can. (Also as mentioned elsewhere in this site the bedliner may be durable, but it is mine is very rough, and I did not like the black color). Thanks for everyone's help, I have learned a ton of good info and I am sure I will continue to use this site

I'll be curious to see how the interior paint holds up. Do you know what kind of bedliner material it was?

    Looks good though..;)

I was considering spraying bedliner on the floor of my CJ5. What didn't you like about it?

Yes, that big black round thing in the dash is a speaker, not currently hooked up to a radio. And there is another big hole in the dash where a radio used to be, currently covered by a piece of plastic trim from the po :( . A new dash is somewhere on the list of things I hope to find over the next several years. The bedliner is Herculiner, I think. There are previous discussions on bedliners on this site (http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31746&highlight=linex). IMHO they are probably great for most CJ's, but I hope to eventually return mine to as close to original as I can and it has essentially retired from wheeling, so I do not need bullet proof floor protection. The white spray paint so far seems durable, I did scuff it up in one spot while installing the seats, but a touch up was easy (shake and spray).

I like the color combo. Very nice. Uncommon on an early.

Thanks, again this site has been a huge help to me. My Jeep was originally President's red (from what I see behind the dash and in the toolbox- the trim tag is gone). Eventually, would like to take it back to red.

Looks very nice! Where did you get your seat belts?

I had the inside of mine Rhino-Lined and I like it (quieter and cooler). We took all the removable floor panels out and Rhino-Lined each piece and then rebolted everything back in place.
