A simple recommendation. When buying your gasket sets do not go budget shopping. Buy a good set. I bought a budget set and the rear main bearing (round) seals kicked my butt. They would not go in. Some of you may remember my thread on this. I worked for a good couple of days trying different ways to get those suckers in until I damaged them. Well, the JEEP sat for a couple months until my workload at work slowed down and I was finally able to work on her for a couple of hours. I ordered a new rear main seal set from checkers (FELPRO Brand) that cost $18.00 whjich was half of what I paid for a complete engine set.

Those two seals slid right in without any effort. The moral of the story, do not go cheap when buying seals and gaskets. It may save you many a heartache.

I have to disagree with you on that. There is nothing wrong with buying cheap seals and gaskets....................................

if you like having to re-do everything you use them on.:) :)
