Point gap???

    Does anyone have the proper gap for the points on a 225? I am having troubles. Thanks

    If I remember right the Prestolite distributor should be .022", not sure about the Delco, but if you have a dwell meter, set it by the dwell its much more accurate.

    Thanks gentlemen. I've got it back to running smooth now. I had to order new points and rotor. The rest of it I found between the 4 different parts stores in two towns.

    where did you find the correct points at? I have a prestolite

    I bought a set that looked correct but were a mirror image. ie facing right when should have faced left. I ended up ordering them at the local parts store. We'll find out Tues if it is right or not.

    yep had the exact same problem, I got mine from the zone and it also was a mirror image, so I got some from summit, and it was way to big... I just can not figure out how hard is it to get the right part from a parts store.
