I changed an accelerator discharge nozzle in my Jeep and took it for a test drive. I'm trying to get rid of a light throttle cough. Anyway I drove a couple of blocks, still has cough, and all of a sudden the Jeep starts missing and running terrible. I barely make it home, pop the hood and look down the carb. and see gas dripping from the secondary nozzles. I switched the discharge nozzle back restarted, same problem. I then check the float levels. Front doesn't look bad but when I remove the rear fuel comes pouring out the sight plug.

After the intial rush of fuel, Jeep begins to idle better but gas is still coming out of sight plug. I try to adjust float level but fuel just keeps coming out the sight plug. How come I can't adjust the rear float? I was able to before.

Thanks, I'll check that. Do I just pull off the rear metering block to access the needle/seat area?

Do you know if the adjusting nut for the float level will stop at some point if I keep turning it clockwise?

    wow...
    sorry, I'm no expert
been over 10 years since I had one installed on mine
I think just take the rear float bowl off; the transfer tube carries the fuel over to the rear if I recall
    someone else, help !

Wonder if reving it and puting your hand over the throat to choke it down would clear the trash?
    Works sometimes.

Hope it works for you. ;)

Worked on my sand rail a few times. Harder to do with dual carbs.

Took the rear bowl loose from my carb and cleaned out the bowl and needle/seat area. Re-assembled and started and Jeep seemed to run good. Oh yea, also installed a fuel filter. Now back to my light throttle cough......
