Discovered Ol' Lazerus has pretty badly pitted rear wheel brake cylinders. Maybe that's why the brake system is kaput!

Online parts catalogs desribe replacements as being 1" for my '67, but the inside diameter of the ones I took off measure just a hair over 0.80" (8/10").

What gives here? Am I missing something (again).

    Thanks,

for the rears, I show 2 possibilities
    3/4" or 13/16"
    no 1" listed
fronts should be 1" or 1-1/8"

    Thanks, Jim! :p

What is your source? I'm having trouble finding info for '67 CJ-5 (Kaiser) model, lots on earlier military and civilian Willys, and lots on later American Motors, but little on the Kaiser years.

I would like to obtain more accurate service and parts information if it is available.

I'm presently working on brakes, axles and steering restorations.

    Bob,

Believe it or not, I have had great luck at O'Reilly's Auto Parts while tracking down my brake parts.

usually you can match up the Bendix number on your wheel cylinders at the local parts places

I used 15/16" on the rear when I ran the 10" brakes.

I replaced my brake system a few months ago. I got my wheel cylinder's from autozone, expensive little buggers, anyways 1 in front and 3/4 rear was stock in the late 69 early 70 model kaiser, although I'm not sure if pre dual M/C wheel cylinders are different.
