I am installing my 225 t90 d18 set up today. Hooked everthing up including driveshaft to get the correct position front to rear . When I attach the trans/ transfer mounts the engine position is not straight in the frame it is diagonal to the driverside. Are the trans/transfer case mounting positions different on the v6? I may have a 4cyl. crossmember I dont know . Any comments?
    Thanks Steve

Some discussion of engine placement here: http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/cj5_55-71_swap.htm

Your setup can't be stock, because the T-90 never came with the V6. If you have a mixture of parts, you're going to have to adjust the postion and mounts to accomodate the V6. I'd expect the stock V6 uses a different mount with the same crossmember, but I don't know for sure.

Im thinking a different crosmember because the position of the transfer case mount is fixed not moveable.

The 225 is offset to the left 1 or 2 inches.Check the novak knowledge base to find the exact measurement. It's for starter clearance.

I know its offset to the left I have the advance adapters motor mounts what i am talking about is the position of the tranny mount if I use the current position it places the tranny to far to the left and makes it not parallel to the frame. As far as the crossmember being movable mine is front to rear not side to side.

The mount for the t90 is totally different than the t14 mount that came with the v6 setup. That may be part of it, I don't think there were 2 different crossmembers as that would be silly to make a new crossmember when all you need is a few more holes located differently

Thanks Mike After looking at some more I think I will modify the crossmember its a little more than just holes . But I think I have it figured out. If anyone else has run into this please let me know how you overcame this .
    Thanks Steve

I moved the crossmember to the left. Then I cut off the inch of metal that was sticking out from the frame. I then welded the piece onto the right side of the crosmember. I drill new holes and there you have an off set crossmember. This way you can still use the stock hole locations for the transmission to mount.
