Ratchet tiedowns with axle straps , what I used on my YJ when I was trailering it. Do you have D-rings on the deck for strapping to ??

No I just bought the trailer and it is new. The floor is 2 x 10's. I'm going to fab some steel brakets to tie to. Need to get straps first so I know how to make them.
Thanks for the link I'll read them.

I like using straps on the front and chain the rearend. Usually, pull up, set up chain on rear then pull forward until chain is tight, then strap the front tight. I'd get some 10,000lbs axle ratchet straps. I've been looking for a good set myself.

Thanks again guys. I found everything I needed from http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/Scripts/default.asp
Looks like quality stuff, strap kit and D-ring set of 4 with backing plates. I wasn't sure about getting stuff rated for the job but this seems made for the job. Probably more $$ than "made in China" but I'f sure hate to lose the Jeep!!
