Did you check the VIN # thread yet? That might narrow it down. Pre '64 by the VIN.

That's the only part of the body that's newer than '64 I'm guessing. ;)

Looks as if the fenders, grille and windshield were swapped in from later model jeeps.

Body tub seems to jive with serial number.

    Dashboard is not standard

Body tub isn't original is it? I don't see the indents for the top bow in the rear yet I see the faux battery box. Gas tank isn't under the seat either. :?

the lever closest to the trans lever should be your 2wd/4wd engagement lever
the farthest to the right is high/low range lever

You're right -- indents for top missing, however, I was looking at the battery box cover welded on the cowl -- that seems to have disappeared in and around 63 or 64.

I think that the removal of gas tank filler and indents could be body work.

Since the gas tank filler is in a non standard cj location, a lot of that could have been done when the body work was done.

However I have never seen or heard of anyone splicing in a welded cowl battery cover.

You're right on that but missing the bow indents really puzzles me. Ahh!! I got it. Whadya bet that someone put new "sides" on the tub? I recall seeing the whole side of a tub FS somewhere before. That would explain the lack of underseat tank and bow indents while keeping the battery box cover.

The cowl also has that flat boss for a mirror which'd be consistent w/ the battery box cover. My old Canadian '69 had those.

I've got a spare glove box door, but no latch I'm afraid. There may be a few of us w/ a spare grab bar lying around; perhaps place a WTB ad. The inside glove box can be bought at places like Krage & 4WD hardware. Nice pics!

What about and intermediate tub, '69-'71 front clip and a Willys tailgate? Oh yeah, and someone moved the tank to the rear.

Shots of the drivers floor, under the seat would help. And a closer shot of the underseat tank fill hole to see if it was patched or closed off by the factory...

Does it have a foot-operated e-brake on to the left of the driver?

Like Kamel said I've not seen a battery box cover grafted onto a later tub.

That and the bow socket indents were there through the Intermediates which were sans battery box cover.

Edit - it appears to have a cowl battery box that I didn't see earlier...

To further the mystery, it has a '68-'71 gas pedal (hanging style) but it has the pre-'66 brake pedal (with no rubber cover).

    Conglomeration of parts for sure!
