    Hi, me again

    Do you think I can put 31 x 10.5 tire on a stock cj5 1977, with 3.54 gearing ????

Do I need a lift, or is this feasable as is ???

    Thanks

Stock CJs will accept a 31x10.50 with no lift needed.
Depending on your wheel backspacing and the tire tread design, you <might> experience some tire tread rubbing the front springs a bit when the steering wheel is turned to the right or left lock. If so, two ways to fix it. Don't turn that sharp... or adjust the knuckle stops on the axle.
    Go for it! :driving:
Gearing will be OK... the larger tires will slow you down a tad when first pulling out, but will certainly be within range of acceptability (I run 33s with 3.73s and can live with that).
The larger tires will reduce your highway RPMs a bit as well. Keep in mind your speedo will be off somewhat. When it says 60, you'll probably be doing 65+.
Slap 'em on, run it, take pics... come back and tell us what you think. :)

    Thanks a lot guys

The party was last weekend. Some of my friends gathered at a restaurant without me knowing, and my clever wife organised a plot to make sure I wanted to go to a restaurant that night, and she made sure we where going to a particular one, so anyway, it was great !!!

I run 32x11.50-15 with stock leafs and the tires rub on thr rear tub only when it's up at a angle. I must have some high gears because I think I can go 30mph in reverse. I'm going to get a smaller tire size.
