I am getting ready to paint my cj5. I am returning to the original color. It appears to be a medium green metallic. Where do I look for paint code? TIA. I will post pictures of finished product.

70 medium green was avacado mist metallic IIRC

I believe the code is 431, if not 340.

should have been on a small aluminum tag on the firewall in the vicinity of the battery

I would like to see more pictures when you can. Trying to decide on what color still. I am leaning to the burnt orange I saw here on another jeep.

I like that burnt orange metallic color too....I couldn't decide between that, daphne blue, or Avocado. I ended up going with the original color and I'm partial to green anyway. If the weather holds down here I'll paint the rest tomorrow and hopefully have some higher quality pics tomorrow night

I hear you! It was my ole lady, bless her heart, that "helped" me make my choice. As always.....she was right!

I could not help but chime in on 1970 Green Piant!

Kerit is near it's original color- As seen in pic. A Ford color was used- Ford, Honey Gold. Paint code "c". From a '66 Galaxy if I recall.. :flag:

Anyway, I really like (as best I can tell) the new paint seen in the pics below-
