Yup. You will need to drill two holes in each backing plate, the two top ones, but no biggie. Nickmil.

I used 72 Waggy backing plates. They fit perfectly with no drilling or other modification.

Somewhere I heard that the 11" brakes from a 1972 CJ5 would work. I checked a Hollander manual at a junkyard and found the following drum brakes interchanged with 72 CJ5 brakes:

72-73 CJ, DJ series drum only, front
    72-73 CJ, DJ series, rear
    72-73 Jeepster, drum only, front
72-73 Station Wagon, drum only, front
    72-73 Station Wagon, rear
    72-73 Truck, 11" rear
    74 CJ series, welded, rear

looks like you only need to redrill the top 2 holes IF you use the tapered axles.

Those new ones are not too bad considering what you would have to put into each for time+money. 8)

Will these bronco plates fit the Dana 25 front also?
Do you have to get ford brake parts, etc. to finish them?
    Thanks,
    Brad

they fit my 27 like a glove. I used the bronco hardware with the jeep drum due to clearence issues.

edit: forgot I used the NON-finned drums as well.
