m38a1 3.73 gears stock?

my m38a1 had an fhead stock right? now how could it have 3.73 gears unless some one changed them but why go up i dont understand it
the axel has the orignal od paint on some spots and the front drums are still od could it have had 3.73's stock?

im just rambling cause i was hoping for the 4.27 or 4.88 gears but both my sets of axels are 3.73 gears

 

5.38 wow that would be nice one of the PO's must have swaped sompthing

 

does it still have the f-head ? i'll bet it's a real dog.

no i didnt get the orignal motor it came with a 225 but it would be a bagless wonder if i did lol

 

Perhaps someone did a body swap.

 

no its a military body/frame it has the indent ont he pass side for the jumper thing and the best part the 50cal turret mount now i just need a legalized 50cal michine gun it also has military wrap springs

The M1919 is a .30 cal machine gun not a 50 cal. The 50 caliber was the M2. I don't think the M2 was ever put in a Jeep. Half track and tanks but I don't think it was in a Jeep.

 

I think they mounted 50s on M151s, but never on M38s or M38a1s to the best of my knowledge.

Also, FWIW, Beachwood Canvas has the gun mounts and all accessories, and offers dummy .30 and .50 cal guns. Not cheap though.
