Windshield Stands ?

    Very simple question today , the Windshield stand the goes over the wiper ,does the notch goes up or down? I need to see if I have a left or right one so I can get the oposite one. Thanks yall:beer:

    Notch goes down. That's for clearance for the wipers in motion if I'm not mistaken...

    Same here - notch down. I don't see any difference in the L or R. What am I missing? :?

    One leg is shorter than the other, IIRC.

    Actually I thought they were marked with an L or R. Can anyone confirm?

    I believe they are left and right. The ones I have on one of the '68's have a slight angle to them to match the slope of the hood. These may be aftermarket however.

    Yup, the slight angle is designed to match the curve of the hood. My stock '57 has 'em that way......That and the notch is aimed down to allow clearance of the wiper arm.

    That makes sence about the notch. I have one on my desk and its a Quarter inch differance side to side even though it looks like more. Thanks yall
