I just Purchased one myself. I think it is mostly stock, but i'm sure its not a 100%. I'll try and shoot some pictures tonight. I've been wondering the same thing, so if you have shots i'd like to see them.

Sorry that this has taken so long. I've been out of town on business. My photography skills arent that great either. I just bought this Jeep and don't know how close it is. I think the two guages on the drivers side have been added.

I would like to redo my steering column and wheel to oringal. Some previous owner has attempted to change to Saginaw steering but did not do so great on this column. I was wondering if yours has been changed? If not do you know the angle from the dash and the distance of the column from the dash?

    Hope the pictures help.

Thanks For the photos, My CJ has the stock steering. the measurement from the dash cut out on the top side up to the base of the steering wheel is 11 3/4" . The distance from the dash back to the top of the column is 8 5/8. I will atemo again to attach a photo to this. I think I just found my problem of attachung photo. My file is to large. I will try and e-mail to you. Thanks

Thanks for the measurements. I had trouble with the pictures also. I found that I needed to reduce the file size in order for them to up load.

I am trying to set up the original column and steering wheel. A previous Owner attempted to convert to Saginaw steering but it is real sloppy. I'm trying to get back to original with the column then purchase the kit from Advanced Adapters.

Thanks for the measurements. When I find a column, that will help me set it up properly.

Redwing, The Daytona Beach Turkey Rod Run is in town this week, Its the largest hot rod show in the country, full of swap meet stuff, covers all of the infield of the Daytona Raceway- 200 acreas- I went over Friday going back Sunday, I found a copy of the original Sales Literature for the 1971, plus some other goodies. If you would like for me to get a copy made just e-mail me at: Heaton_Steve@msn.com it shows a couple great shots of the dash and vehicle that will be of great help getting them back to stock.
