    Ok guys, question number 2:
The air-intake for the heater, I guess that's what it is, on my 75 CJ that is right behind the hood hinges has a hole that has been chewed or cut out of the bottom corner of it so when it rains, it just pours into the floor of the jeep. The hole is in the back, passenger side of the plastic housing, close to the flap that closes off the fresh air intake. My question is, what is supposed to be here, a drain or something to let the water flow out through the firewall? I'm stumped on how to fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with Jim. I just removed one the other day for a person on this board. It is a thin rubber or vinyl molded hose that exits just under the battery box. The other thing on the end is a sort of one way valve kind of like what you see on the dust drains on heavy equipment. It was secured to the hose with a regular tie strap. The othe end is secured to the box with a hose clamp. If you are not concerned about originality I would bet that aircraft "scat" tubing would work good for this application. It comes in several diameters.

Thanks for the illustrations. The entire funnel shaped piece on my box is completely gone. If you look inside the box from above, all you see is a cut out corner, so now i'm gonna have to do some brain storming to figure out how i'm gonna patch this up and seal it off. Thanks.

Aircraft Spruce and Specialty. I am out of town right now so cant't get a mail or web address for you. There is black and red tubing, The red is more expensive and for higher heat. We all know too well how much heat a Jeep heater will produce, so I think the cheaper black should do fine.
