I purchased one of the tubs from Meansville GA wondering how you go about lining it all up with no holes cut for mounts, any suggestions? I still have the old tub.

I started by using the various cover plates (transmission, master cylinder access) as patterns. I positioned them in place traced them out and then cut about 1/2 - 3/4" inside the tracing to allow me to re-use the cover plates. From there I positioned the back of the tub in-line with rear crossmember. and then put in on the chassis. And then drilled up from below for the body mounts. Use cardboard to create templates from your old tub to position your pedals, steering column cut outs etc.

I think I have a 4wd hardware video still around somewhere. IIRC, they also sell just the video as well. I remember being pretty nervous cutting up that $1500 body kit.

It can be a bit unerving when you get ready to drill that first hole. The 4WD video is good but drink some coffee before you watch it!

You should ideally take measurements before you remove the original body. Keep the firewall for a template of the holes. Use the rear crossmember as a guide. Level your frame front to back and side to side. That way you can use a level to make sure the body is level too. Take measurments all around from the frame to the body and when both sides are within 1/4" your golden. The key is getting it close so when you put on the fenders the grill will line up.

Good advice so far. When I put my CJ6 together I clamped the front fenders on, bolted the grill in place and fit everything up and shucked it around before I drilled any holes. Once I has happy with where everything was I got the Sharpie out and marked everything so I could re-check B4 drilling.

You may also want to consider installing some plate steel at the body mount locations to supplement the 3/4" thick plywood/fiberglass floor.
