For the past year the Jeep has been the sole owner of the garage. I've been on a mission for the past week to get my wife's car in there also. Along with the bikes, wagons, tools, spare parts, dirt bike, camping gear, x-mas decorations... I curse the day I bought a house with just a 2 car garage.

According to my dad the cj-5 is to dirty to park in the 20x60 garage so it sits with the tractors and dirtbikesn or out in a field when it breaks down there

Garage? Well, sort of in the same boat as Chuck. My GPW is under a car port next the the house with pretty decent coverage. Used to be in a garge at my last house and was always inside at my dad's (graduation present) except for getting kicked outside two years before I got it here (which is why leaves accumulated and made rust hole between the seats).

Our Tux sat outside for many years during a nasty divorce and I put it in a rented garage. We pulled it into our backyard to work on it, but it's going back in the rented garage again very soon.

We rent three garages to house as many cars and parts as we can. We are looking at getting one of those temp garages (thanks for the link, Ledge) for our house in the city. We have two driveways (which is why I bought the house) and a carport the entire length of the house. There is a small garage, but no room for a vehicle and still work. We've played with the idea of tearing it down and building a new shop, but our main goal is to build our dream shop to house entire collection, my someday inherited collection, and have lots of room and equipment to work. We have 111 acres 20 miles from our house, just need some settlement on some other issues and some $$ so we can realize our dream.

My 69 Cj5 “Bumpy” stays in a carpeted attached one car garage. The wife’s Volvo wagon is out side year round… ;)

    Hey Roboter,

This is off topic, but I was wondering if you're having the tire feathering problems on your Z? I'm a fan of the first gen's myself and have a '77 280Z, but the new ones do look nice!

CJ5 sits in the shop with the sand rail.
YJ and XJ sit outside with both the Ram trucks.

You may have seen this picture before but it is an 8 X 16 portable building. It probably would not work with more than 2" lift on a Jeep. All I had to do was cut doors in the end and build ramps for the jeep to go in. Plenty long even for the CJ6 but could stand to be wider with the spare tire hanging over.

Already mentioned, but I gotta say the life of the top was awful short when it was always outside. Seven years was all for the first two. Over fifteen for the third one, before I got tangled up in some branches that weren't going to swing both ways. They took out one side window, and broke the rear seam loose. I threw it away thinking I would just go get another. My, how the prices of tops had gone up!!!

Anyway, now it has a bay all to itself, sorta. Brush hog, tiller, edger, extra mower....... all the yard work stuff.

Our garage is split with a 1.5 car on one side and then a 1 car on the other side of a walkout door. The Jeep goes on the 1 car side. Neither of my parents vehicles (Expedition and F150) so it is otherwise unused.

My dad built a little room in our 2 car garage years ago and the only thing that'll fit on the side with the room is the Jeep.;) So, it's lucky enough to rest indoors.

I figured that since my Jeep has been garaged it's entire life, I couldn't change that up...it's garaged and the other vehicles are under carports...now if I can just figure out how to get my M100 in the garage...
