That’s insane. I get the fact that the story is cool but it is not 100K cool. Give me 100k and I guarantee I bring home something better than an underpowered mid 90’s Camaro. Very clean though, I’d like more pics of the Jeep in the back ground as well

 

That's a very clean Z28 convertible...but that's not the value here.
Al Sheperd was the first american in space, one of the few men to walk on the moon (he played golf on the moon!)
and a genuine American hero. A real aviation/space/NASA geek would pay a premium for this car because of that.
How much of a premium? I have no idea.

 

I guess it must have the Right Stuff.

Not my cup of tea, as much as I admire Alan Shepherd, a local boy who made good.

 

I had the exact same car, color, year everything minus the ragtop.. I should have kept it.. It would have been a great investment to sell for 99K!

 

If it once belonged to Elvis Prestley it would be $200,000.00 and probably sold by now.

He didn't own it when he was an astronaut nor did he receive it for being one like the Corvettes in the '60's. Never heard of him being a "car" guy so I don't see the value. Like others have said I could find something a lot better to drop $100K on.
