Yes, the 12 SI is a much better choice, and the mounts are the same as a 10 SI. Also you can get the 12SI with a 3 wire attachment that is much better, plus the 3 wire alt. can have a volt meter and an "amp" light both.

Did they have to hand prop them instead? :) ------Seriously I wonder how many batteries it took to turn over those big radials?

I also have several six-volt vehicles, but somehow I survive.

I bought a S10I with a tractor pully on it that will work with a stock Willy's two shive pully, and the wide belt. If that will help PM me and I will find where I got it, I think it was a 60 amp S10I. I still have it in the box in my storage unit.

Hmm, I thought I posted an update. I contacted Powermaster who makes the alternator and they recommended me a site. It showed one pulley that looks like it will work. it's for an International/Case Combine or some other tractor. I also picked up some Gates XL 7455 belts. I haven't been able to work on the Jeep so see if it will work yet though. The other problem I have is that the WillysWorks brackets that everyone raves about are for a CJ5 and need some tinkering to get the, to work. I turned the bracket around which brings the alternator back which seems to have helped.

There's some grease smears on it! At least the hi-torque Land Cruiser starter will distract people attention... Or the solid state distributor? The pass. side is going to be so shiny... Hahah!
