Bolts

    Any body know what size bolts I need to mount the transmission to the bell housing,the bell housing to the engine and the transfer case to the transmission on a cj5 73 304, t15 transmission dana 20

    You'd think I would remember having all of that out twice a few months back.

    Bell Housing to Engine: 3/8-16 2"
    Transfer case to transmission: 7/16-14? thread 2"
    Transmission to Bellhousing: 7/16-14? thread 2 1/2"

    If I remember correctly the bottom 2 bolts on the bell housing were 7/16 coarse thread(14) might have only been the passenger side.

    What I did was went to Amazon and bought a 340 piece grade 8 assortment of coarse thread bolts. If you do this you will be able to use a longer bolt in case what I said above needs a 2 1/2. I also bought hardened washers for all the bolts.

    Somebody will correct me, sorry I can't be more exact. Make sure you hand start ALL of the bolts.
