Brake Pedal Hitting Steering Column

I have a 69 CJ5 that was a basket case and having an issue with the brake pedal is hitting the steering column. The pedal also seems to be a lot lower than the clutch pedal. Not sure if the clutch is high or the brake pedal is too low.
Any ideas?

 

Has it had an engine swap, and maybe the PO modified (bent) the brake pedal arm for clearance?

 

I suspect it has a clutch pedal on the brake arm.

 

They could have been accidentally swapped

 

Bend it to clear and call it good. When the floor is in the petal bumpers will let them top out at the same height.

 

Thanks for the tips. I bent it to provide some clearance and will lengthen the master cylinder rod to get it even with the clutch pedal. It's been a 2 year project and getting close to the finish line.

 

Looks nice! I used some heat and bent mine to fit. Can anyone share pics of the bumpers?
