Search for "1971 Cj5 Colors" on this site, WYOMIKE posted a color chart in 2018

I am fairly color blind. I should have clarified. I looked at the chart and in can’t really tell. Avacado mist? Seems dark green to me

Not green enough for Avocado Mist. My brother had a Bullnose that color. Thats the light metallic gold/tan. I’ll check my color books this evening when I get home.

My ‘69 is Avocado Mist, doesn’t look like that. I think Vintage Gold Metallic.

I'll try and clean up what I have and take another picture. When I retire in a couple years I will tackle the body which is bondo, botched sheet metal and bailing wire right now. I figure if I am painting it might as well be the original color.

I am pretty sure your Jeep is Gold Beige Poly, Jeep paint code 393. PPG #22705, Martin Senour code is 32Y-7814 for acrylic, and 90T-4259 for Synthol. This color was used by Kaiser Jeep from ‘66-‘70, but am sure this carried over to ‘71 (beyond my ‘70 paint chip book).
Vintage Gold Poly (‘69-‘70 color) PPG #23340 is a richer/darker gold than your under-cowl photo. The “Poly” simply means metallic.
