Im trying to find poly bushings for the rancho lift springs on my 2a. All i can find are for 55 and newer. I thought the springs were the same width till the 60's. I found origanal brass buhings but dont want them. Found some on ebay that say they will fit 55-75 all cjs front or rear, think these will work? Thanks in advanced.

    Re: leaf spring ?

I left my bronze/brass bushings in the front spring, rear spring eyes; I like to lube them through the stock bolts..
Up front, I am using the poly 55-75, upper and lower; necc. to ream out just enough to get the uppers to slide/press in place though. If the u bushings/threads were really worn, the poly may slide in without modification. Spring widths are the same from 1941-1975 on CJ models, I believe.
Yes, the 55-75 poly bushings should work. You will be using the 55-75 shackle plates front and rear, correct?

    Re: leaf spring ?

The original bushings were rubber with a metal sleeve around them. I had to cut the metal sleeve out with a hack saw because they were rusted to the frame. This was not fun...but worth it.

I got replacement poly shackle bushings for my 2A from Quadratec. They fit the stock shackle hangers on the frame fine once I got the old bass bushings out. I was putting in Superide 2.5" springs at the time and the shackle end bushings in those springs appeared to be the same except for a different color of poly. Now that I think about it, all 4 may have been the same... but I'm not positive. It was 6 months ago and I haven't thought about it since.

Quardatec item number for the bushings was 16024 958

Rancho number seems to be RS958 (info from quadratec invoice)
