You're looking for a CJ front axle from 78 to 81.

Dana 30 was on CJs from 72 to 86.

Disks were optional in 76 and standard by 78.

Narrow Track was 72 to 81.

A person apparently learns something new all the time. I wasn't aware 3.73 gears were ever manufactured for a D25. But then most information on the web doesn't include 3.54's or 4.09's for D25's and those were made for the OHC 230 Willys wagons, and I assume pickups, for about a year and a half. I ran the 4.09's in my 3B for about 25 years. So back to the original problem. If the rear axle actually is also 3.73's, the replacement axle you should be looking for is a D27 from a 65-71 225 powered CJ5 or 6. If you want to upgrade, a D30 narrow track would be highly desirable.

    Looks like Jamco beat me--

Since no one else has said it in so many words: the 41-11 numbers refer to the tooth count on the ring and pinion gears, respectively. 41 divided by 11 = 3.7273 - call it 3.73. This numbering convention is pretty much universal.

Alot of the D-30 axles in intermediates were the standard factory ratio of 3.73 as well.

Still haven't pulled the rear cover off to took at the rear diff, but did notice the tags on the rear say 41-11. So, 3.73 gears.

Did 3:73 gears come stock in a Dana 25 at some point?
