Added A Return Line, How Much Fuel Pressure Is Ok?

    After installing a new fuel pump and blocking return, I got wrapped around the axle. Pressure shot up to 15 psi so I installed a dial pressure regulator. Well, when vapor lock started, the pressure reg closed up and I got no flow. I ditched the whole thing and added a return line. Much better but my pressure is now at a fixed 5 lb. Not bad and runs great but I know it's supposed to be around 3. Think I'm ok? Below pic is how I routed the fuel back to tank. Thanks.
