I was just going to live with the springs that I have but I noticed that one of them is cracked at the top spring. It wasn't going to take much for me to want to replace these, but I have a couple questions.

    1. The rear springs have a centered nub at 22.5 inches and an arch measurement (from the eye to the inside of the center of the arch of 6 in". How much of a lift is that?
    2. I haven't pulled a front spring (I'm guessing this is a Dana 25(?) Will it matter? Unless a previous owner did something interesting should the front to be the same?
    3. I bought myself a nice set of shackles, but the shocks are wrecked. Since I'm replacing the springs, will it be easier just to buy a matched set of springs/shocks?

    Thanks, Rob

Do your leaf counts match any of these?

Note that were "heavy duty" spring packs also with 9 front / 11 rear leaves, these were the same thing as the M38A1 stock springs.

Yes, the front has 7 leafs and the stack is 1-3/4". The front overall length of the front springs seems closer to 40.5".
The rear has 6, but the bottom 2 are thicker and aren't arched (ad a leaf maybe?)

Yeah the p[probability that you have a stock spring pack are pretty low.

And even less that the leaves haven't relaxed over the years.

I don't believe it's possible to determine a "lift" with the information you've provided :(

I'd just ask myself how much lift I want & obtain a new set of springs for each end.

I would plan on replacing the springs right off, then you know what you have. Seems like most members like DBS springs. I have Rancho and they ride too hard for a stock Jeep, I plan to change my springs in the near future. Springs are everything on a Jeep.
