    upload_2023-1-14_18-10-40.jpeg Hello,
I’m trying to remove my Koenig PTO from my TC on my 59-CJ5 to install an overdrive. Of course I have 4 of the 5 half inch bolts removed but the 5th is creating a challenge. Specifically not able to get a socket on nut or clearance for open ended wrench.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Please see pictures.

    Remove the pipe plug first.

looks like you are/were trying to remove the drain plug due to the shine and metal debris.

There are 5 pipe thread plugs that need to be removed from this PTO then 5 Allen screws internally before the PTO can be from the transfer case.

Clarity is key on these types of questions. This post put first would have got your answer quicker and reduced confusion.
Fwiw those special sockets are 8 point sockets. 12 point sockets won’t work.
Also fwiw anything ‘71 and older is considered an early. ‘72-‘75 is an intermediate. Putting your post/question in the correct forum will help you get help much quicker, not clutter up the wrong forum, and will help down the road with the search function. I’m not trying to be mean or rude, just trying to educate.
