Anybody remember who was making the reproduction air cleaner to carb spacers for the 225? Anybody have a drawing with measurements to make one?

I’ll have one in a few days to give measurements, though can’t confirm it’s from a jeep.

Probably can’t scale, but might give you an idea until it arrives in the mail.

I bought a nice aluminum spacer off eBay (search carb spacer for Dauntless 225)
There’s a lot of discussion on the forum about the Rochester 2G spacer.
Are you still using the oil bath? This pic is old. I’ve since found the correct oil bath for my 1966.

That certainly doesn’t look like my factory spacer.

I was gonna have a run of these made for the forum a few years ago, but never got around to it. WYOMIKE's drawing is perfect though.

    Thanks boys.

Yea, I looked on eBay because I thought that is where some guy was selling the reproductions a few years back. Didn't find it. But you all have provided plenty of options so I'll decide which way I want to go. Probably the least expensive way because this motor might only run for 10 minutes. I'll probably run the stupid little 4" diameter chrome thing that came on it until I can determine if the motor is truly junk as I suspect.

And yes, Roy, I have the paper element air cleaner.

Yep, just a hair off, but easy to clearance, Clarence.

Make 2 if you have the time.

I did see where, I think it was Focker, did a 3D print job on one and it sort of melted.

I'm gonna check the speedway stuff out. What height is correct? 2? 3?

2" is closest to the original which is about 1 1/2". I imagine you could shorten the speedway one pretty easily.

Wonder if I could make 2 out of the 3" piece. Cut it in half and have my lathe buddy turn down the smaller diameter. Hmmm.

I've got an original one around here. Was planning to make it an early project with my new lathe... now I just need to be able to get out to the shop and whittle down some time. I'd like to know what others are doing to make them and out of what?

I am actually a bit confused by the drawing by WYOMIKE in the earlier part of the thread. Am I seeing a wall thickness of 11/16? I see ID of 2 3/8 and OD of 3 1/16.
