I have a "66 Tux..with an aftermarket glove box latch. questions...Did these originally come with keyed lock (pictured)? Did they have the trim piece (pictured on blue glovebox) or just the circle. Trying to make more work for myself by nitpicking my jeep and wanting it as original as possible. My glovebox has the circle with notch for the push button.

None of your photos open for me. Many CJs of your era came with non-locking push buttons, though the locking ones are common too. Does your door have a bolt-on carrier/bracket for the push button latch? If so, this style just has a small round hole in the door for the push button, no trim or ring.
The later doors used a larger hole for a push button with a trim ring around it.
Early Willys Trucks and Wagons (see post #1), and late CJ 5/7 had glovebox doors with the notched hole for different push button/ latch assemblies that clamp in the opening.
