Ok sorry about that. The previous picture is a warbled out hole in the spring mount, '74 CJ5. I was thinking of filling in the hole, then welding on a heavy washer to reinforce. Any suggestions? Another thought is running a sleeve through, extending through both sides. Dave

No pic here. You can replace the whole mount.

Picture can't be too big. 640x480 or 800x600 usually are fine. Drag and drop from your desktop into a new post.

The picture was showing then suddenly not.
2 ways to handle that. Ream it out until tube is removed and weld in new properly sized tube, or replace the mount. Washers simply won’t hold up.

Thanks, I'll try to load a pic tomorrow. This is where the spring mounts to, so there is no sleeve.

There is a sleeve in the silent block bushing of the spring. Many replace the bushings with urethane today.

Picture works ok. Presume you are worried about the elongation of the hole in the mount. Suggest it's not going to make that much difference in the spring performance. You can buy the bracket or a near equivalent, or you can add some weld to the bracket and keep using it. Look at "Jeep 806910".

I purchased new bushings, the bushing fits in between the mount. It seems the movement of the bolt wears against the mount itself. I agree filling in with weld, re drill the hole to proper size. Then I'm thinking weld on heavy washers to give the mounts some reinforcement. Thanks for the reply.
