Does anyone reproduce the glove box latches? These would be for a Willys PU but i think its the same as a CJ. The only ones I can find are locking ones which are very expensive.

I had to loosen that screw on mine that you have pictured in order to make mine work. On mine, if that screw is too tight it locks up.

These Omix repos worked on my '68 until I spent the big bucks on an NOS locking one. https://www.quadratec.com/products/22562_01.htm

The style is blah, but it fit and worked with no issues.

    Proof it fit and worked:

I just pulled that round style off a ‘78 CJ7 in the u-pull yard a few days ago. Uses the “keyhole” shaped mounting hole. The “Deco” style in post #1 I think is only found on the pre-‘65 Willys trucks and Wagons. I’m not sure the round style will fit the Willys because the latch hole has a recess for the lock that fits the Deco style.

My CJ5 and wagon both have the kind that mounts on a raised bracket on the inside of the door. I always thought the one pictured was only on the older trucks and wagons like Doug's son has.

You might be right.I need to check my ‘62 wagon to see if it has the raised mount. I think my ‘57 has the Deco latch on the glovebox and the under seat doors.

It just hit me that those on mine do have the latches like Doug posted. The dash door design, or maybe some kind of redesign warrants the raised mount. Of course I did go out to look to verify that.

My 1965 impala SS center console uses that style with a key. Not sure how the measure up but it looks just like the OP. Good chance those are faithfully reproduced.
