Summer Top For My '67 Cj6

    Jeez has it been two years since any progress on this top...... Yesterday I built and installed the horizontal rods between the bows and front windscreen. Ended up using 3/8 rod and welded a washer on each end to hold it in place. The rear rods for my CJ6 ended up being 48". I found a company Sailrite that makes DIY supplies for all thing fabric on boats. Also, when at Hershey this year, saw a Surrey DJ and the top construction is pretty close to what I want for my top (no Fringe) Here are several pics of the Surrey top and how it attaches.

    The channel on the front windscreen is not on mine, so need to figure out how to do it. Could re-attach a channel or go with snaps hidden under the front valence.

    Anyway, things to figure out. Here is a Video (1 of 3) from Sailrite that describes the making of a "Dodger" lots of parallels with this top.
