    Hey guys,
I got my HEI distributor all ready to go with Accel HEI coil and wires. I also have new Bosch platinums to go with. I have never installed a distributor before. Nor have I timed anything. Is there even timing marks on a 75??? If there is, I don't think I have ever seen any???

On to the install, I need to get to TDC on #1 and install with the rotor pointing towards the #1 cylinder, right??? Then follow the firing order around the distributor??

Am I getting in over my head with this or can a fairly newbie do this?? Is a timing gun a must to get it right??

I'm feeling a bit insecure right about now

    Thanks
    High5 :stout:

You don't necessarily have to go TDC #1. Just lift the cap and find which plug your rotor is pointing towards (mark it on the outside, replace the cap and get an idea if it is just ahead, dead straight, or just behind the closest wire) and make sure you drop in the new one on the same plug.
