Windshield To Cowl Rubber Seal ?

Well I got the seal in from ''Live Fast Supply" an like Oldpappy said it fitts perfect. length and width both as should be.

My windshield seal from a reputable seller had the same problem, nicely made but about an inch too long. I had to cut the ends off, remove about a half inch from each, and re-bond the ends. I used loctite 404, worked well. But now I will be definitely ordering up the one spoken about in the previous posts that fits well.

 

I just ordered two of the known to fit ones. One for each Jeep.

 

I don't understand why any company would go to the trouble of making something like this out of quality material, and be off that much in length on something that needs to fit correctly.

I asked several suppliers to measure the seals they had, and only "Live Fast Supply" actually responded with a measurement. The supplier I got the first one from just responded that they were all the same length, some did not respond at all. Well they aren't "all" the same length as we have found out.

Glad others benefited from the discovery. To quote Will Geer "Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then". That is what a forum like this is for.
