    Hey guys new here.
Just bought a completely stock 69 CJ5 with the V6. How big of a tire can we fit on them and still keep a stock look? I imagine I could put a set of 16” steel wheels from Kaiser Jeep if that would help.

On a side note does anyone have any dog dish Kaiser hubcaps?

    thanks.....

    Brett

Keeping the stock look probably means something in the 29-30" tire (or whatever p-metric equivalent)....'Stock look' is kind of difficult to discuss as for some, it might also include width, not just diameter - older jeeps would have had a more narrow tire than most similar options today on a 15" rim. I think a 16" rim with a 215/85/16 tire would give a pretty good stock look. For others, stock look would also include tread pattern and bias ply vs radial....Cooker Tire offers quite a few old style bias play (and some radial) options using the common sizing of the day.

8.55 x 15 Goodyear Suburbanite snow tires were stock on a '69. Find a picture of them and compare it with what's available from Coker which is what FinoCJ is referring to.

Here’s mine with the metric equivalent (235 75R15) the closest tire size to the original.
    Original size was approx. 29.3”
    Metric 235 75R15 is 29”
