I picked this Jeep up recently. It had been listed on Facebook for several weeks with a super high asking price. I went and took a look, ended up buying it for much less than asking. I'm trying to gather drivetrain parts for a build, mainly transmission/transfer case and axles and also steering.

So far it seems to have some good stuff. I won't know for sure obviously until I get into it. Since it has an intact hard top and hood I'm hoping water didn't get into stuff too badly. The shifters for the trans and transfer case seem to move.
The engine compartment has the intake assembly intact. I took the spark plugs out and there was a lot of crud in the cylinders. I'll probably pull the head and see what's going on. The steering seems to work.

It has a generator which spins freely so I'm hoping that is usable. Other stuff I'm excited about includes clean looking speedometer, warn locking hubs, fan shroud, vacuum wiper motors, remote canister oil filter.

It's a '62 so the axles should be 5.38, I'll have to pull the differential covers and see for sure.
This should keep me busy for a while.

Nice find. Seems to be unmolested. I enjoy seeing the old ones intact and original.

The bumper is for sale, $250, original, has lots of patina.

Does any of this look like Jeep stuff? It was packed in the cab of the Jeep. The bench seats are only 26" wide. I'm thinking maybe bus seats?

The trailer hitch looks like a universal one that clamps onto the bumper back when cars still had bumpers. Probably 50's vintage.

We used to have a tow-bar like that. I used it once to bring an old junk Jeep home. It almost fell off by the time we got home.

Definitely reuse the bumper, even if you have to cut it down a bit.

Does anyone recognize this hard top? The roof panel is fiberglass. Back window lifts up and slides inward on a track.

Appears to be welded. I'm hoping I can extract it as it doesn't have any extra holes.

Welded dash came with a factory hard top, I believe is what I learned when I brought my 62 here with questions

Interesting. Seems reasonable that it's a factory top as it was never drilled for top bows.
