charcoal canister

    Can anyone help me with the vent/vacumn lines off the charcoal canister on my 74? Just installing the canister after a body off rebuild and don't know the proper routing for the lines. Thanks

    I think you're going to need a factory service manual for the exact information. There's a tap that goes to the rollover shutoff valve (back under the body) and there's a line that goes to the snorkel on the air cleaner. There may also be a line to the carburetor fuel bowl vent. In my manual, with the nipples open toward you from the vap can: float bowl, fuel tank (via shutoff valve), and snorkel, left to right.

    Two lines from the tank run to the liquid check valve (bottom ports). The top port on the LCV runs to one of the ports on the canister. One of the canister lines runs to the port on the air cleaner snorkel.
