W/S Wiper Switch Nuts

    Not sure a smaller part ever held me up... :rofl:

    Evidently $14 isn't enough $$ to buy a switch that comes with the dang nuts to hold it to the dash.

    Where do I find these? They're a 3/8 24 thread thin little nut. Need 2.

    Already tried Radio Shack -their grab bag of control knob nuts doesn't have one that fits.

    I have found these twice. Once at a local Ma and Pa shop here in town. Second was at a doitbest hardware.

    I have a bunch of junk potentiometers with hardware that appears to be 3/8 and fine thread. I broke my calipers so I can't measure these very well. Also, I'd be surprised if the assortment from the Shaque wouldn't include these. Maybe I can measure more accurately tomorrow.

    Do you have a really good hardware store nearby? Almost every halfway decent hardware store around here has hardware that tiny, usually in steel, brass, and stainless too. Might be worth a shot if you haven't tried yet.

    Yep - I have a pretty good run right up the road -- they were just closed by the time I got back from Shadio Rack. Will try there tomorrow. Figure even if I have to grind a large nut down at least it'll work.
