I have an M38-A1 style dash in my CJ5 cuz I like having all the individual gauges. I put the gauges in it in 1996 when I was doing the restoration. I got them from JCWhitney (I know I know). Here's the problem, my temp gauge broke and Whitney doesn't carry them anymore. All I want is a 2" gauge with a black face, white needle and numbers, with a 270* needle sweep that's devoid of any obnoxious brand name insignia on the face. I can't find anything anywhere. If any of you M38-A1 guys see this, where'd you get yours? Thanks

Maybe swap the old face over to the new gage?

I recall that Stewart Warner had gages like you describe; I think my oil pressure gage is like that. As said, maybe ebay for older SW gages... or maybe SW still makes some with that face?
    Good luck... :)

You can buy new Stewart Warner gauge with the same style as the original 24 volt gauges.

I think this is the style

I found they are sold at Napa auto parts stores. I bought some sending units there.

I never even thought of Ebay...I'll go check there.
I know SW makes good stuff, but I really don't care for that style of gauge.
    Thanks much
