Not me. For my 231 odd-fire. It looks like my '75-'76 Block uses the tube type dipstick. At least the tube-type Beeser sent me fits fine. Are the holes in the block the same size for earlier 225s that don't use the tube?

I have a line on a couple of 225 dipsticks that are the straight into the block type, or I'm considering something like this -

or modifiying a universal style. Will chevy small block dipsticks work with modification?

Lokar just called back and said if I can tell them the hole size and dipstick length they can custom build one for me.

Dang, I wonder what size that hole is and how much this is going to set me back. :D

I have 225 buick, and can't a universal dipstick to fit. Seems that there is a bind on the curve. The on that I have on now seems to ruba and grind a bit and almost kinks everytime I push it in.

Before I got a dipstick and tube from Hippo, I tried the universal Chebby type. It didnt fit. I later picked up one from a salvage yard out of an old Ranger pickup. It already had a tab to bolt to one of the exhaust manifold flanges, but the o.d. was too big. I planned on soldering a smaller section on but never got around to it.
