    Hi Folks,

My 47 CJ2A came with an F-head 134 using a 60's Ford Falcon carburetor and a custom PVC air intake tube. The PO also used 1" square tubing sandwiched between rubber gaskets as body mounts. The square tubing is rusting out, and I'll need to replace the body mounts soon. I figure the 1" tubing was used to help clear the hood over the F-head. I found 1" polyurethane body mounts for CJ5's on the net, but haven't found any for CJ2A's. Does anyone know if CJ5 body mounts will work on CJ2A's? Thanks for any info.

The only diff will be in the number of mounts. Your not gonna find many listed for the 2's and 3's. FWIW I have 2" body mounts that allowed better clearance for the V6 under the hood. Wasn't sure how I would like them, but they look real good and I have a 'real' air cleaner on the Holley for the first time.

Thanks again for replying and for the great info. I hadn't even considered 2" body mounts - that might be the ticket to ensure there aren't any hood clearance problems. So I take it you used 2" body mounts for a CJ5 and used them on your CJ2A?

Yup - they are just round pucks. Match'em and mount'em.

BTW - you will need some pedal work if you do this.

Thanks again, Warloch - and good point on the pedal work. I didn't even think about that with a 2" body lift.
